“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” – Brene Brown
Hi! My name is Elisabeth Cross. I am passionate about providing a safe and confidential place for people to talk about difficult things in their life and assuring them that they are not alone. As a deeply caring listener, I meet my client’s right where they are, coming alongside them in their journey to help bring hope and healing. If they are feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns in their life, I can recommend tools to help propel them forward.
My beliefs and values reflect my Christian faith. That same faith inspires me to emphasize the loving-kindness of God to my clients. However, as a professionally trained counselor, I do not impose my beliefs and value system on my clients. I respect and honor each person’s distinct backgrounds and beliefs that make them who they are.
My own personal struggles and life experiences have helped me become a more understanding counselor. Through these times, I realized just how important it is to grieve losses and seek support during life’s difficult seasons so I could thrive once again. I also began to invest in activities that brought me joy. Some of these include connecting with God, going on outdoor adventures with my husband and sons, drinking good coffee, and eating sushi.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling at Colorado Christian University after a twelve-year career in nonprofit administration. As a therapist, I counsel individuals and couples as they encounter relationship, spiritual and life struggles of various kinds. My goal is to help each client discover truth, experience healing and enjoy the freedom to thrive. My specialties include premarital and marital therapy, grief and loss counseling, divorce recovery, establishing healthy boundaries, life transitions, adjustment to parenthood, and spirituality, which includes the practice of listening prayer.
I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your pursuit of personal healing and growth.
